After-School All-Stars New Jersey, Boys and Girls Club Newark, and United Way of Greater Newark's Newark Thrives! are proud to host the Summer Employment Expo (SEE) on Saturday, May 6, from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. at the Boys & Girls Club Newark, 1 Avon Ave., Newark NJ.

Organizers said the goal of this one-of-a-kind event is to pair potential employees with over 15 Youth Serving Organizations currently hiring for Summer Programs.

In addition to having the opportunity to participate in on-site interviews and hiring, attendees can also learn about the different programs and services available from Youth Serving Organizations in Newark.

This event is an excellent opportunity for job seekers in the area to connect with local employers and find new employment opportunities. Interested applicants are encouraged to bring a copy of their resume to the event.

"Out-of-school-time programs are the bedrock of supporting students' academic and enrichment learning," United Way of Greater Newark President & CEO Catherine Wilson said.

"Summer programs, especially, are crucial in keeping youth in our communities engaged when school is on summer recess.

Saturday's Summer Employment Expo is an excellent opportunity to ensure that our local summer programs are adequately staffed best to prepare youth for the 2023-24 school year."
