Bordentown High School Girl Killed by Car

Police in Bordentown Township Police Department are investigating a pedestrian-motor vehicle collision which occurred on Rt. 130 SB at the intersection of Crosswicks Rd. (County Route 528) resulting in the death of an 18-year-old female Bordentown Township resident.

According to a preliminary investigation, police say a 2007 Infiniti G35 driven by Woodbury man was traveling southbound on Rt. 130 at approximately 10:15 pm and collided with a pedestrian identified as Angelica Volcy,18, of Bordentown.

Police say Volcy was crossing the highway at the Crosswicks Rd. intersection and witnesses indicated that Tigner was proceeding through a green signal and had the right of way.

As a result of the collision, Ms. Volcy sustained severe, life-threatening injuries and was pronounced deceased at Helene Fuld Medical Center at 11:03 pm.

Police say Volcy was a student at Bordentown Regional High School, and school officials have brought in counselors for grieving students.
