Police in Boonton are looking into the motive behind a stabbing that sent a person t the hospital Thursday night.
At approximately 8:35 p.m., police e responded to reports of an injured person in the 200 block of Division Street.
Upon arrival, police found the person suffering a stab wound in their back.
The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment and is expected to recover.
Police believe the suspect fled the scene in a black SUV and is at large.
The incident is under investigation.
