Police in Hackensack are investigating an incident that prompted authorities to secure an area and request assistance from the Bergen County Bomb Squad on Wednesday night.
According to preliminary reports, officers were dispatched around 9 p.m. to the area of 155 Polifly Road after a report of a threatening note left on a vehicle. The note allegedly warned, “If you start your car, BOOM.”

Authorities secured the scene while bomb squad personnel responded to investigate the threat.
As of 4:30 a.m. Thursday, officials determined there was no credible threat connected to the vehicle.
The incident remains under active investigation, and no additional information was immediately available.
