Search and rescue crews pulled the body of an unidentified person from a lake at a park in Newark this morning.
According to preliminary reports, Essex County authorities set up a crime scene inside the Weequahic Park after they found the unidentified person floating in the lake just before noon today -Saturday-.
Details regarding the circumstances behind this incident and the identity of the woman has not been released at this time.
The remains of the person appear to be a woman but authorities have not confirmed the gender of the deceased reports said.
The park has been closed off to the public for the investigation.
