The Essex County Prosecutor's Office is investigating the death of a man found in a park in Irvington Township.
Essex County Sheriff's detectives and Irvington Police were dispatched to Lyons Avenue side of Irvington Park to investigate reports of an injured person early Friday morning.
Upon arrival, police notified the county prosecutor after they found an unidentified adult male inside the park.
The circumstances behind what caused the victim's death is under an active and ongoing investigation.
Foul play is suspected.
