Harrison and Newark Police units are on the scene of a body recovery under a bridge in the city’s Ironbound section this evening.
Police responded to reports of a floater in the Passaic River where they arrived and found the body around 6:10 p.m.
A marine unit and Newark Emergency Services Unit were called to the scene for the recovery operation.
The identity of the victim and the circumstances behind their death is under active investigation.
