Police in Paterson located the body of an unidentified person under a ramp of an interstate on Saturday evening.
Officers were dispatched on reports of an unconscious person under the I-80 ramp to southbound Route 19 just before 8:45 p.m.
Police requested a crime scene when they located the body, but no foul play was immediately reported.
Authorities have not released the identity of the person at this time.
The incident remains under investigation.
