There were no suspicious activities, or foul play reported after police found a person dead in Newark's Ironbound section this morning.
Police and EMS located the unidentified person near the intersection of Jefferson and Market Street at around 7:35 a.m.
A preliminary investigation indicated that the victim did not suffer any visible trauma and may have died in their sleep.
The person is possibly a local homeless person who has frequented the area.
Police are continuing the investigation.
