Authorities in Newark recovered the body of an unidentified person in an alley in Newark's North Ward on Monday night.
According to preliminary reports, police and EMS were called to the 90's block of Summer Avenue after receiving reports of an injured person.
Emergency responders arrived and found a body lying in the alley, according to reports. Medical professionals pronounced the person dead at the scene.
There were no immediate reports of suspicious circumstances from the police.
The Essex County Prosecutor's Office has not reported a homicide investigation at this time.
