The Essex County Prosecutor’s Office were on the scene investigating a body found in Irvington Township this afternoon.
Police responded to reports of an injured person in the vicinity of Grove and Tichenor Terrace before 3 p.m. upon arrival, officers found an unconscious and unresponsive person at that location.
According to the prosecutor’s office, The State Regional Medical Examiners Office will decide the cause of death.
County officials say the death does not appear suspicious at this time.
