Body Found Inside Car in Newark Ironbound Supermarket Parking Lot

Police in Newark's Ironbound section found the body of an unidentified man inside a vehicle at a supermarket on Friday evening.

According to preliminary reports, shortly before 8 p.m., police were called to the Seabras Supermarket on Wilson Avenue to investigate reports of a suspicious vehicle in the rear parking lot.

Upon arrival, officers found the unidentified, unconscious and unresponsive man inside a silver vehicle with NY license plates at that location. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

As of early Saturday morning, there were no reports of foul play and the Essex County Prosecutor's Office has not launched an investigation at this time.
