Bodies of Two Juveniles Pulled from Ramapo Lake in Oakland

Officials confirmed that the bodies of a 17-year-old boy and girl who drowned in Ramapo Lake last night have been recovered.

According to authorities, on Aug. 7th, State Park Police responded to a report received from the Ringwood Police Department of two possible drownings at Ramapo Lake in Ramapo State Forest around 7 p.m.

Following a search divers recovered the bodies of a 17-year-old male and a 17-year-old female late in the evening.

Police say they were removed from the scene after examination by the Passaic Medical Examiner.

Officials say since the victims were juveniles, their identities will not be released.
