The Passaic County Prosecutor's Office was notified of a bicyclist struck and severely injured by a car in Passaic Saturday night.
It happened around 7 p.m. at the intersection of Monroe and Market street.
Police said when emergency responders arrived at the scene, they found a seriously injured, unconscious and responsive male lying on the ground after a vehicle struck him at that location.
The bicyclist was rushed to a nearby hospital suffering life-threatening injuries. The driver sustained no injuries.
The incident remains under investigation.
