Authorities in Newark are investigating a robbery that turned in an assault of a bicyclist that happened early this morning in the city's Ironbound section.
Police were called to the area of Pacific Street and Elm Street at around 7 a.m. where they arrived to find a bicyclist suffering various injuries after being assaulted and robbed at that location.
The suspects reportedly knocked the victim from the bike to the ground then took a cell phone, and wallet while continuing to attack the victim.
The victim was transported to the hospital in an unknown condition.
There were no arrest reported.
