Bergen Prosecutor’s Office Investigates Death of Man Found Near Route 4 in Englewood

Prosecutor Mark Musella said just after 7:00 a.m. on Saturday, the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of an unconscious male along the shoulder of Route 4 West near South Dean Street in Englewood. 

Upon arrival, officers discovered that the man was deceased and had injuries consistent with having been struck by a vehicle.

The victim has not yet been positively identified.  

An investigation is being conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Fatal Accident Investigation Unit under the direction of Chief Jason Love and the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office under the direction of Sheriff Anthony Cureton.
