In the early hours of Sunday morning, a tragic accident claimed the life of a Bergen County resident, Mr. Jadon Johnson, 20, of Englewood, on the Garden State Parkway.

NJ State Police officials said at around 2:45 a.m., troopers rushed to the scene near southbound milepost 161.4 in Paramus Boro following reports of a severe car crash.

Eyewitnesses and initial investigations suggest that a Nissan passenger vehicle, heading northbound, veered off the road, smashing through the guide rail and plummeting down an embankment.

The car then collided with multiple trees.

The crash inflicted fatal injuries upon Mr. Johnson.

Alongside him, a 20-year-old female from Woodcliff Lake was seriously injured and was swiftly transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

State Police continue their probe into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
