Bergen County Man Charged with Explicit Assault, Endangering the Welfare of a Child

Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of Franklin Gomez-Paredes, 28, of Moonachie, on sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child charges.

According to Prosecutor Musella, on Saturday, January 1, the Little Ferry Police Department contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office regarding the alleged sexual assault of a minor younger than 13. 

During the investigation, it was determined that the victim was sexually assaulted by Gomez-Paredes.

As a result of the investigation, on Saturday, January 1, 2022, Gomez-Paredes was arrested in Paramus and charged with attempted aggravated sexual assault, sexual assault by contact and endangering the welfare of a child. 

Gomez-Paredes was remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending his first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack.
