Bergen County Man Arrested for Criminal Explicit Contact with Child While Asleep

Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of 33-year-old Diego G. Buri-Mora of Hackensack on charges of criminal sexual contact and endangering the welfare of a child.

On Sunday, May 12, the Hackensack Police Department contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit regarding an alleged sexual contact involving a juvenile.

Police say the incident was reported to have occurred while the juvenile was visiting family members.

An investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and the Hackensack Police Department revealed that Diego Buri-Mora had inappropriately touched the juvenile while the juvenile was sleeping at the family member’s home.

As a result of the investigation, on Tuesday, May 14, Diego Buri-Mora was arrested in Paramus and charged with third-degree endangering the welfare of a child.

Buri-Mora was remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending a first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack, NJ.
