Bergen County Authorities Search for Vehicle Wanted in Pedestrian Hit-and-Run

The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and the Ho-Ho-Kus Police Department are requesting information from the public regarding a hit-and-run collision, which resulted in the victim sustaining serious injuries.

According to officials, at approximately 6:50 p.m. on Tuesday, November 26th, the Ho-Ho-Kus Police Department received a report of a pedestrian struck by a motor vehicle at the intersection of North Maple Avenue and First Street.

Upon arrival, officers observed the victim lying on the edge of the roadway with serious injuries.

The victim, a 57-year-old female, was transported to Hackensack University Medical Center for treatment of her injuries.

Surveillance video recovered from the area indicates that the victim was struck by a red coupe or sedan, which is depicted in the attached photo.

The suspect’s vehicle is believed to be either a 2009 Infiniti G37, a 2013-2015 Honda Accord, or a 2018-2019 Hyundai Sonata.

The vehicle then fled the scene northbound on North Maple Avenue after the collision.
