Beautiful Election Day Ahead as Temperatures Climb Into the 70s Across NJ

Newark

We are waking up to some chilly conditions across New Jersey this morning, but nothing that will take away from what promises to be a beautiful Election Day Tuesday.

Good morning, New Jersey! It’s November 3, and if you’re getting ready for work, school or heading out to the bus stop, we’re starting our morning with temperatures around 56 degrees in downtown Newark.

It’s not nearly as cold as some of our recent mornings, and we’re looking forward to a lovely day across the region. It’s also a great opportunity to get out and cast your ballot in today’s important elections.

As we begin our news day around 4:30 a.m., conditions are quiet across North Jersey, although some communities are still feeling that early morning chill.

Around the state, we’re seeing 43 degrees in Trenton, 37 in Somerville, temperatures near 40 in parts of Sussex County, 36 in Morristown and 39 degrees in Haledon.

The good news is that we’ll remain dry throughout the day, with unseasonably warm temperatures making it comfortable for anyone heading to the polls.

According to the National Weather Service, today will be sunny, with a high near 72 degrees. Light southwest winds will increase to 5 to 9 mph during the morning.

Tonight, expect mostly clear skies with temperatures dropping to around 52 degrees. South winds near 6 mph will become calm during the evening.

And remember, New Jersey, polling locations are open from 6 a.m. until 8 p.m. Whether you’re voting before work, during lunch or later this evening, make time to have your voice heard.

Have a wonderful Election Day, New Jersey, enjoy this beautiful weather, and don’t forget to vote!
