Bayonne Man Injured in Jersey City Crash

The Hudson County Regional Collision Investigation Unit is investigating a severe motor vehicle crash involving two cars that occurred Thursday morning at approximately 6:30 am on Route 440 South in Jersey City at the intersection with Route 185 South in which one of the drivers sustained

serious injuries.

Officials say, according to the initial investigation, the victim – a 34-year-old Bayonne man – was traveling

southbound on Route 440 when his vehicle, a 2012 Honda Accord, was struck by a second driver who was traveling southbound on Route 185 operating a 1992 Toyota Celica. Both drivers were transported to the Jersey City Medical Center, but the driver of the Toyota has been released having sustained only a minor injury.

The Hudson County Regional Collision Investigation Unit is actively investigating this incident.
