Police in Newark recovered several shell casings after a shots-fired incident occurred in a neighborhood in the city on Sunday night.
According to preliminary reports, police responded to the vicinity if 517 South 10th Street to investigate reports of shots fired shortly before 6:15 p.m.
Upon arrival, officers found evidence that a shooting occurred, but after they searched the neighborhood, they did not find any gunshot victims.
Police say they found several shell casings as a result of the shooting.
NPD1 helicopter was called to the scene to canvas the area for suspects.
No arrests have been reported.
