A person found badly injured overnight in Jersey City is under investigation.
Police and EMS were called to the area of Ludlow Street and New Street at around 4 a.m. after receiving reports of a badly injured person according to initial reports.
Arriving emergency responders found the victim suffering a serious head injury at that location.
The victim was rushed to Jersey City Medical City where their injury was reported as life threatening. The injury was not the result of gunfire initial reports said.
The identity and gender of the victim has not been released at this time.
Police are investigating a motive.
