Family and friends have identified a 3-month-old infant who suffered a life-threatening head injury after apparently being dropped by a babysitter in Saddle Brook Tuesday afternoon.
According to police, officers responded to a home on Midland Avenue sometime around 3 p.m. for a report of an injured infant.
Arriving officers administered CPR to the infant until EMS arrived shortly.
The infant - later identified by family friends as Reece Modzelewski - was transported to Hackensack University Medical Center where the baby was placed on life support.
Based on preliminary findings, a family member - who was babysitting the infant - was allegedly holding the baby when he reportedly fell from her arms and hit the floor with his head.
Police have not release the identify of the babysitter, adding that incident remains under investigation.
