Authorities Seize $450K Worth of Cocaine, Marijuana from Hilton Hotel in East Brunswick

Members of the East Brunswick Special Investigations Unit received information about a male selling a large quantity of Cocaine and Marijuana within the Township of East Brunswick at the Hilton Hotel.

Officials said after an extensive investigation, members of the East Brunswick Police Department’s Special Investigations Unit and Detective Bureau, with the assistance of the Middlesex County Narcotics Task Force, Middlesex County Sheriff’s Office K9 Unit and Hilton Hotel Security, executed a search warrant and recovered 5 kilograms of Cocaine (approximately 11 pounds) and 13 pounds of raw Marijuana. According to authorities, the street value of the drugs recovered is estimated at $450,000.00.

Police arrested Jonathan Reyes, 24, of Kendall Park and Alyssa Ugarte, 24, of Brick, on February 22nd and charged them with Possession and Distribution of Cocaine and Marijuana.

Officials said both Reyes and Ugarte were transported to and detained at the Middlesex County Adult Correctional Facility in lieu of a bail hearing.
