Authorities in Union County are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a woman who has been missing from Elizabeth for several weeks, according to a statement released by the Union County Prosecutor’s Office.
Investigators said that on Friday, March 14, 2025, Elizabeth Police officers responded to the 600 block of New Point Road following a report of a missing person, identified as 48-year-old Janaina Freire Goncalves.
Through the course of the investigation, it was determined that Ms. Freire Goncalves was last seen during the evening hours of Monday, March 10, 2025.
Since then, there has been no confirmed contact with her.

The Union County Prosecutor’s Office, working closely with the Elizabeth Police Department, continues to actively investigate her disappearance and is urging anyone with information about her whereabouts to come forward.
