Authorities in Passaic County are investigating an incident in which a person was found dead near a Paterson school Monday evening, officials said.
According to preliminary information, police were called to the area of 20th Avenue and East 21st Street around 7 p.m. after receiving reports of suspicious activity. 
Responding officers searched the area surrounding School 30 - the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Educational Complex - and discovered an unidentified person hanging near the train tracks behind the building.
County investigators were called to the scene to assist, but as of early Tuesday morning, police said there were no indications of foul play or an active homicide investigation.
The incident remains under investigation, and no further details were immediately available.
