Mercer County authorities are investigating a serious motor vehicle crash that occurred Monday night on a busy stretch of Route 1.
At approximately 10:45 p.m., emergency responders were dispatched to the area of Route 1 near Meadow Road following reports of a collision involving multiple vehicles.
Upon arrival, West Windsor Police closed the right lanes of the highway to allow emergency crews to work safely at the scene.
Officials said the crash resulted in serious injuries, though the exact number of victims and the nature of their conditions have not yet been disclosed.
First responders were seen assisting individuals at the scene as investigators began their preliminary review of what caused the incident.
The circumstances surrounding the crash remain under investigation.
Authorities have not released further details, but updates are expected once the West Windsor Police Department provides additional information.
Motorists traveling in the area experienced significant delays due to the lane closures. 
Drivers are advised to use caution and expect residual traffic impacts during the ongoing investigation.
