Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and Sayreville Police Chief Daniel Plumacker have announced an investigation into the death of a 72-year-old man found unresponsive in the borough earlier this week.
According to officials, on October 21, 2025, at around 2:02 p.m., officers were dispatched following a 911 call reporting an unresponsive male.
Responding officers located the man, later identified as Dhirubhai A. Patel, who was homeless, at the scene.
Patel was pronounced deceased shortly after police arrived. The cause of death has not yet been determined, and the investigation remains active.
