Westwood police are investigating an officer-involved shooting that happened after police responded to a report of an emotionally disturbed person Friday.
According to preliminary reports, the incident happened shortly after 2 a.m. on Mill Street, where gunfire rang out sending additional police units to the scene to assist in the investigation.
There were no injuries reported after the officer fired one round.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
