Police in Newark are investigating an early morning crash that occurred in the city's Central Ward.
A vehicle that refused to stop for police came to a crashing halt on Bergen Street and 15th Ave. resulting in a utility pole being knocked to the ground.
Police shut down a one block portion of Bergen Street where the crashed vehicle was towed away at around 8:30 a.m.
