The Passaic County Prosecutor's Office was notified of a death investigation that involved a child in Paterson Saturday evening.
At approximately 7:40 p.m., police were dispatched to an address in the 50's block of Church Street for reports of an ill person.
Upon arrival, Emergency Responders began CPR on an infant who reportedly went into cardiac arrest at a residence.
The baby was pronounced dead about an hour later.
Officials have not released the circumstances behind the child's death at this time.
No arrests were reported.
