Authorities announced today that the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide/Major Crimes Task Force are investigating the fatal shooting of Eric Jones, 25, of Newark.
According to police, at approximately 7:13 p.m. yesterday Jones was shot on the 300 block of Irvine Turner Blvd. Jones was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation is active and ongoing.
There have no arrests made in connection with shooting.
