NEWARK — The Essex County Prosecutor's Office have identified two two victims in Saturday morning fatal shootings.
Authorities said Condell Walker, 42, was fatally shot and killed at shortly before 8 a.m near Sonic Restaurant on Springfield Avenue.
Police said the second fatal shooting occurred hours later in the 300 block of 6th Avenue .
Steven Watkins, 36, was transported to University Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 12:30 p.m. officials said.
Authorities have yet to identify suspects or motives behind the killings, Ambrose said. Investigations of the shootings by the Essex County Prosecutor's Office Homicide Task Force are ongoing, officials said.
The Essex County Sheriff's Office through it's Crimestoppers program is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to an arrest in the cases.
