Authorities Identify Man Shot Dead in Piscataway

Middlesex County Prosecutor Andrew C. Carey and Chief Scott Cartmell of the Piscataway Police Department said today that police are investigating the death of a Piscataway man that was shot last night.

Henry Stevenson Jr., 24, of Piscataway died Friday, June 16, 2017 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, from multiple gunshot wounds.

The Piscataway Police responded to a shooting in the area of West 3rd Street and Poplar Place at approximately 7:00 pm last night.

Upon arrival the police found the victim laying on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead from his injuries.

The homicide is being investigated by Detective Kyle Weaver of the Piscataway Police Department and Detective Erik Larsen of the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office.

The investigation is active and is continuing.
