TRENTON – The Mercer County Homicide Task Force and the Trenton Police
Department are investigating a homicide that occurred in the city on Thursday evening.
According to authorities, at approximately 7:40 p.m. on Thursday, March 23, Trenton police were dispatched to the side of 55 Cleveland Avenue of a report of a man down in the alley.
Upon arrival, officers located a black male unconscious and unresponsive, bleeding from an apparent gunshot wound.
The victim, identified as 23-year-old Marquis Saunders of Hamilton, was pronounced dead at the scene.
