Emergency responders conducted an overnight body recovery operation at State Line Lookout in Alpine early Saturday morning, according to reports.

The incident began at approximately 2:45 a.m. when multiple units were dispatched to the State Line Lookout area for a reported body recovery.
Due to the challenging terrain along the Palisades cliffs, a specialized rappel team was requested to assist in the operation.
By approximately 3:45 a.m., the East Bergen Rappel Team had arrived on scene and was assisting responders with the recovery effort.
State Line Lookout, located along the Palisades Interstate Parkway, overlooks the Hudson River and is known for its steep cliffs and rugged terrain, often requiring specialized rescue equipment and personnel during emergency operations.
Authorities have not released information regarding the identity of the deceased or the circumstances surrounding the incident.
It remains unclear whether the death resulted from an accident, a medical emergency, or other circumstances.
