Authorities Charge Alleged Dealer with Man's Fatal Overdose

A Toms River man is being held in the Ocean County Jail and is charged with causing the death of Kenneth Cook, 28, of Berkeley Township.

Authorities say Gregory Koc, 35, is accused of supplying the drugs that caused the overdose and death of Cook on August 3.

The victim was found in the bathroom of a Route 37 Kmart at 9:55 p.m and pronounced dead at the scene from overdosing on powerful drug, fentanyl.

Koc's charges include strict liability for a drug-induced death, manslaugter, distribution of fentanyl, and possession of fentanyl with intent to distribute.
