Authorities Capture Toms River Bank Robbery Suspect

According to a statement released by police, on Tuesday December 31, police units were dispatched to the Chase Bank at ‪2, Route 37 W‬ for reports of a bank robbery.

Police say the suspect presented a note to the teller and left on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.

According to police, on Thursday Mr. Patrick T. Callahan, 45 of Toms River, was charged on a warrant by Detective Quinn with the bank robbery.

Police say Mr. Callahan was arrested in Burlington County by the Mount Laurel Police Department following a tip originating from our social media page.

The Ocean County Sheriffs Department Crime Scene Unit, K-9 Unit, and the FBI Red Bank Office assisted during this investigation.

Mr. Callahan will be lodged in the county jail pending a detention hearing in Ocean County Superior Court.
