A report of a possible attempted abduction conducted by a male on a street in Newark was reported to police officials.
According to the report, the parents of an unidentified male child contacted authorities when the boy told them that while walking home in the area of 15th Avenue and South 6th Street, an unknown male exited a vehicle and began to question him.
When the child refused to respond further, the assailant began to attack then tried to force him into the vehicle according to reports.
The victim describes the suspect as a white male approximately 6 feet tall who drove a black van.
Police units were observed at the scene conducting an investigation into the incident.
There were no physical injuries reported.
