A Checkers on Communipaw Avenue in Jersey City an ATM was stolen containing nearly $6,000 last week, authorities said.
Police responded to the checkers sometime around at 8 a.m. Thursday after the restaurant manager reported the front entrance broken and the ATM missing.
According to the restaurant owner, the ATM - valued at $1,500 - contained $5,980 at the time it was taken.
Police added, tire tracks were found near the front entrance.
