Atlantic City Woman Charged in Stabbing Death of Man

A 34-year-old Atlantic City woman has been charged with the fatal stabbing of a man, Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon G. Tyner announced.

Authorities charged Khaleeia Bass, 34, of Atlantic City, with First degree Murder, Third degree Possession of a Knife for an Unlawful Purpose in connection with the fatal stabbing of 37-year-old Kenneth Fenwick Jr., who police believes had been a domestic relationship.

According to officials, on Nov. 1st, Absecon Police received a 911 call at approximately 8:25 p.m., in reference to a man who had been stabbed inside a residence at 513 Clayton Avenue in Absecon.

The man - later identified as Fenwick - was transported to AtlantiCare Medical Center City Campus where he died from his injuries.

Police say Bass was processed on the charges today and is lodged in the Atlantic County Justice Facility. Bass’ first appearance and detention hearing are scheduled for Nov. 7th.

These charges are merely an accusation and not proof of guilt. In all criminal cases, a charged defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
