Authorities in Atlantic County announced that on Wednesday, December 6, Dominique Devonish, 31, of Atlantic City, was sentenced to 10 years in prison for two armed robberies of a convenience store in Atlantic City in January of 2023.AdOfficials said the 10-year sentence is subject to the No Early Release Act, meaning Devonish must serve 85% before becoming eligible for parole.

According to officials, he was also sentenced to five years of parole supervision upon his release.

Officials say on October 25, 2023, Devonish pleaded guilty to two separate counts of first-degree robbery and a petty disorderly person's offense of harassment in an unrelated matter.

Devonish admitted to entering the convenience store on January 5, 2023, and brandishing a knife while threatening the store clerks, officials stated.

Authorities say Devonish then entered the cash register and stole approximately $400.00 before fleeing the area.

Officials said on January 15, 2023, Devonish again entered the same convenience store, wielded a knife while threatening the store clerks, reached into the register, and stole approximately $600.00 before fleeing the area.
