An Atlantic City man admitted guilt Monday to multiple criminal offenses tied to separate investigations spanning several years, according to Atlantic County prosecutors.

Jack Ruth, also known as Eugene Bolan, 54, of Atlantic City, pleaded guilty before Superior Court Judge Pamela D’Arcy to third-degree burglary, third-degree theft, third-degree possession with intent to distribute controlled dangerous substances, and simple assault.

Under the plea agreement, Ruth is expected to receive a sentence of three years in New Jersey State Prison.

According to authorities, one of the cases dates back to August 29, 2022, when officers with the Atlantic City Police Department responded to Caesars Atlantic City Hotel & Casino for a report of a stolen vehicle.

Investigators said the victim, a delivery driver, left the vehicle running in the valet area while making a delivery.

Surveillance footage allegedly captured Ruth stealing the vehicle. He was arrested at a later date.

In a separate incident on December 28, 2022, officers were called to Harrah’s Resort Atlantic City after casino security detained a man connected to a vehicle burglary reported the previous evening.

Authorities said surveillance footage placed Ruth near the burglarized vehicle before he returned to his hotel room.

Officers later recovered stolen property from inside the room.

Prosecutors also detailed a narcotics investigation conducted on December 3, 2025, when Atlantic City police executed a residential search warrant and allegedly recovered methamphetamine, digital scales, and other drug paraphernalia. Ruth and two others found inside the residence were arrested.

In another case tied to the plea, police said a woman reported a domestic violence incident to the police department on March 25, 2026.

The victim told investigators she and Ruth had been involved in a verbal dispute days earlier when he allegedly slapped her twice in the face. Ruth was subsequently charged and arrested.

Sentencing is expected at a later court date.
