Atlantic County authorities announced that a county man admitted to possession of a weapon and intent to distribute.
According to officials, on Thursday, June 22, Divier Silva, 27, of Atlantic City, pleaded guilty to one count of second-degree Unlawful Possession of a Handgun and one count of third-degree Possession with the Intent to Distribute Marijuana.
Officials say the plea agreement calls for a sentence of five years in New Jersey State Prison, with one year of parole ineligibility, concurrent to a sentence of three years in New Jersey State Prison for the marijuana charge.
The defendant is scheduled to be sentenced on August 3.
