Arrest Made in Overnight Montclair Slashing


There were non-life threatening injuries reported for the victim of a slashing that occurred in Montclair on Sunday night.

According to preliminary reports, police were called to the 30's block of South Willow Street to investigate reports of a stabbing that occurred at approximately 9:30 p.m.

Upon arrival, they found the victim suffering a minor slash injury and began a search for a male suspect who was reportedly armed with a knife.

Police located the suspects a short time later and placed him under arrests. The motive for the attack has not been released by police at this time.

There were no other injuries reported.
