There is an active and ongoing investigation as police search for the suspects who pulled a gun on a victim then stole their vehicle in a section of Newark early Saturday morning.
Police were called to the single digit block of Elizabeth -at Clinton Avenue- to investigate reports of a carjacking that occurred at around 1:45 a.m.
According to reports, first arriving units were informed that two black males approached armed with a gun an took the victim's green Jeep Cherokee.
The vehicle has a reported NJ license plate number "LBP-47V."
The suspects sped away from the scene westbound on Clinton Avenue.
There were no injuries reported.
