Authorities in Newark are on the search for several armed robbery suspects struck in a neighborhood in the city's North Ward late last night.
Police were called to the area of Crane Street and Webster Street for an armed robbery that occurred at around 10 p.m. Units arriving to the scene located the victim who reported that about five black males (one armed with a weapon) pointed a weapon and took personal possessions before fleeing the scene.
Police canvassed the area where they located at least one suspect that led them on a foot pursuit on Cathedral Court. Officers apprehended the suspect a short time later.
It was not immediately clear if the suspect was connected to the Crane Street robbery.
There were no injuries reported.
