Armed Robbery at Newark Gas Station Prompts Police Investigation

Newark Police officials are investigating an armed robbery that occurred overnight in the city's North Ward. The incident unfolded around midnight at the Shell gas station located at 268 Heller Parkway.

According to reports, officers responded to a call regarding an armed robbery in progress at the gas station.

Upon arrival, they were informed that two black male suspects had entered the establishment, brandishing a weapon, and forcibly took an undetermined amount of cash from one of the employees.

Fortunately, no physical injuries were reported as a result of the robbery. However, the suspects managed to escape on foot before the arrival of law enforcement.

The Newark Police Department is now conducting a thorough investigation into the incident, which includes collecting evidence and reviewing any available surveillance footage.

Authorities are urging anyone with information about the robbery to come forward and assist in their efforts to identify and apprehend the suspects.
